Ingredients
3 and 1/4 potato
2/3 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt as required
2 and 3/4 dry red chili
1/3 teaspoon turmeric
1/3 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 and 1/3 tablespoon mustard oil
100 grams of Kumaoni Foodlore Pahadi Raita
Garnish
3/4 bunch coriander leaves
Step 1 Wash and peel the potatoes
To make this side dish recipe, peel and cut the boiled potatoes in a large bowl. Put a pan over medium flame and heat a little mustard oil in it. When the mustard oil is hot enough, fry the red chillies for a few seconds. Once done, transfer to a bowl and keep it aside.
Step 2 Cook the potatoes with spices
Now, heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they start crackling, add potato pieces and fry for a minute. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and salt. Mix them well and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 3 Garnish and serve
Once the potatoes are well cooked, turn off the flame. Transfer it to a serving dish and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and fried red chillies.
